Lab 3. Prelab.

 

  1. One of the capacitors you will be working with in this lab has capacitance of 1000 µF. Calculate the area of the plates of parallel plate capacitor with plate separation of 1mm and capacitance of 1000 µF. Report the area of the plates in the units of football fields (one football field is about 6000m2). 


    2. Figure P.1
    1. Calculate equivalent capacitance for the combination shown in the Figure P.1.
    2. The voltage applied across this combination is 3.3V. Find voltage across each capacitor.
